Full wet sheet pack is useful in fever-typhoid and continued fevers; and it relieves sleeplessness, chronic cold and bronchitis and it also relieves obesity and rheumatism.

The following precautions must be taken during the treatment:

1. These water treatments must be done three hours before meals especially for entire body.
2. Use clean and pure water only.
3. Used water must be discarded and fresh water is used.
4. For ladies these treatments are better to be avoided during menses.
5. The temperature must be regulated for suitably good results.
6. The thermometer must be used to record heat of water during the treatment.

Make sure you relax and avoid unnecessary chatter. Most of the time visiting an onsen is a time of reflection and solitude. Incessant chatter may disrupt the quiet and solitude of the experience. Try to avoid too much banter if necessary.
Be sure to follow the surrounding atmosphere. In Japan for example most people use the hot springs without swimsuits. This may not be the case everywhere you visit. Check in ahead of time to see what is norm and not to make sure you go somewhere you feel comfortable.
