As the illegal drug abuse problems become much severer in the United States, both government and private sectors continuously invigorate their endeavors to find the most plausible way to overcome them. In addition to enforcing legal power to pursue every drug distributor that is present in every state in this country, they also perform medical campaign to recover every individual who has been snared by those distributors and becomes drug abusers. Upon accomplishing such task, both parties start to establish a number of drug rehabilitation facilities that are focused on treating abusers so they can return to their normal life in their normal community.

Drug rehabilitation facility eventually becomes the most plausible solution to prevent the drug abuse activities from spreading. In those facilities, a number of drug addiction rehab treatments are commenced. Since the first establishment of such facilities, there have been a number of methods invented and implemented to heal drug abusers from their addiction. In the beginning of the establishment of various drug rehabilitation facilities, medical treatment is the only method which is used to overcome the addiction. The patients are treated medically to free their physical body from the addiction.

However, such method is finally considered ineffective because when the patients are healed and permitted to return to their community, their bad habit of consuming the drug illegally reemerges. Such condition may occur because although those abusers have been physically healed, they are actually still mentally ill.  For that reason, the new drug rehabilitation facilities employ dual diagnosis program in the accomplishment of drug rehabilitation treatment. Such program treats and heals patients not only physically, but also psychologically.  The patients thus undergo not only medical treatment to remove their physical dependence to the drug, but they also trained socially and spiritually so they can free their mind from any malicious thoughts and prevent themselves from approaching any perilous drugs.
